Free help for veterans farming in New York
The Farmer Veteran Coalition of New York is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit chapter of the national Farmer Veteran Coalition. Our work is simple: help veterans, service members, and military families start and grow farms anywhere in New York, and connect them with each other. Membership, resources, and our help are always free.

Guides for veteran farmers
- Money: grants for veteran businesses, SARE farmer grants, USDA farm loans, conservation cost-share, and our Farm Tax Guide.
- Training: Cornell’s Farm Ops program and online course scholarships for New York veterans, plus free SUNY agriculture degrees.
- By type of farm: dairy, beef, sheep and goats, vegetables, grapes and wine, beekeeping, organic farming, woodlots and maple, aquaculture and fisheries, pigs, mushrooms, herbs, hemp, and farm breweries and cideries.

We're Teaming Up with FarmScout
FVC NY is a featured partner of FarmScout (FarmScout LLC) - a free nationwide app that helps shoppers discover farms, farm stands, seasonal products, and farm events near them. The app also includes a way to search specifically for veteran-owned farms, making it easier for shoppers to support our members directly. Listing your farm costs nothing.
